The issue is a conflict between Frontend Behavior and Backend Logic:
-
Frontend (HTML/JS): In the video, when you check the "Has Variants" box, your JavaScript disables the Price & Stock fields.
-
Rule of the Web: Disabled fields are NOT sent to the server.
-
So, even though you typed "123", the browser sent nothing for the price.
-
-
Backend (Python): Because the price was missing (or because of the
clean()method I gave you earlier), the server saved it as 0.
To fix this—so you can define a "Base Price" (e.g., ₹123) for the main product card even while having variants—we need to stop disabling those fields.
